Heyla all! Things are going fine here...

My brother has almost completely recovered his memory (the doctors think a concussion is responsible) and should be fine. YAY!

My job search is going well, I have a few prospects that look good and am keeping my fingers crossed. At least there are a lot more job openings available here, so I know its just a matter of time.

I've been seeing alot of my family (+ Heather & Jess, who are practically family anyway) and hope to have a bit of a get together with my other friends in the area. Yes Natalie that means you too. ;)

And a really big shout out to all my friend not here: Kerith, Joe, Andrew, Kat, Mike, and other Joe. Love ya all guys!

Bad News...

I'm sitting here worridly waiting to find out what's happening with my brother and trying not to cry. Earlier today we found out that he had been found unconcious with his nose bleeding in his barracks. He was taken to the hospital and is awake now, but thinks he's somebody else. He doesn't remember the last year or so, and thinks his name is Fred something. At least he does recognize my mom (she got to talk to him a bit) and the names of everybody, but I'm really worried. The ARMY doctors are trying to say there's nothing wrong with him... and that he's faking it to get a medical dispatch or crazy. I just don't know, although I do know neither of those options can be right. I just want to find out what's really wrong with him and if he's going to be okay...

Heyla all! It's been a while since I last updated, what can I say. I'm used to keeping my thoughts to my self, not usually voicing them to all and sundry. Things are going well with me. Andrew and I had a friendly break-up (*Thank-you again, you know what I mean.). My finals have so far went well, and I'm pretty sure I'll do well on my Friday one. And I'll be going home on Saturday.

Oh, and despite me being a bit out of touch - I just want to let everyone know that I've still been thinking about you. Toodles.

Heyla everybody!

Happy April Fool's Day! Anyone play any jokes or pranks on anyone else? Or did you get pranked instead? I was going to do some pranking, but it didn't happen. Oh well, there's always next year!

Apparently it's been over a month since I last updated... WOW! I must be pretty boring huh? Oh well, I was really gloomy and moody for a while, but now it's past. It's finally Spring up here! Yay! Actually almost got up to 60 degrees the other day. Also, I got an interview for the Van Riper state park on April 14. Cross your fingers y'all!

For school I've decided that Botany is the wrong major for me, I just don't seem to like Biology very much, so now I got to change. I'm still not sure what major to change to, but I'm leaning very heavily towards Social Work. I think this would be something that I would really enjoy and find rewarding. The only other thing I can think of right now is writing/authoring or becoming a secret intelligence agent! *wink* That last one would be really cool, but I'm not so sure it's right for me. Especially with all the beef I have against the government and beurocracy in general! Oh well! C'est la vie!

Guess what everyone!

I joined the Budo Taijutsu Club! Today was my first class and while I am not officially a student of the art yet (they want to make sure of my dedication), I'm sure to be soon. They had a special seminar on Saturday that I unfortunately missed, and were going over several of the moves they learned. I picked up several of the throws quickly, but will need much more practice with them (of course!). All in all, I am extremely pleased for this opportunity (especially since its free) and the exercise it provides (I am sooo out of shape!). Now I just have to check out some books on the subject! Plus I get to learn some more Japanese terms. (Boo-ya Sarah!)

Heyla all! I've been really busy lately (What?! Reading keeps me busy.) and there's alot that's happened since I last really updated. Besides all my regular school work and reading... I've been sick, had an EXCELLANT Valentine's Day (*blow's kiss* that's 4 u Andrew *wink*), been filling out internship applications, adn have a very good chance of getting a job on campus with the Art Department (Hey modeling makes good $... especially if you're willing to do it unclad!). But basically that's all here. The dog-sled races are this weekend, as well as all the Winterfest activities... so I'm sure to have fun. And just to leave a lil extra here's my result of this quiz! Since it has been pointed out to me that it has been awhile since I've actually written a real post (Look Kerith I'm actually updating!), I decided to actually write something. The first really big thing that's new in my life... I got a boyfriend! Yay! We get along great, having similar interests and senses of humor, not to mention the plain old element of physical attraction *wink*. He's a bit older than me, but I have always preferred older guys. So I remain hopeful for the future.

On to the other area's of my life... I haven't seemed to come any closer to getting a job, which is quite worrying. However, there is one possibility I became aware of on campus, that would even pay well at $6.75. Unfortunately, the job is a modeling position for the art classes. Oh well, I could really use the money, so I'll see if I can get it. In fact, since this one would probably be more in the daytime, I might be able to get an evening and weekend job as well. Wish me luck everyone, I'm going to really need it!

P.S. Big hugs and kisses for everyone... and a particularly big smooch for a certain someone! *grin*

Today was first day of classes, luckily I had only two. In my extra time I worked on scholarships, job applications, and even managed to get an interview! It's for a coffee place opening up at the mall. *crosses fingers* Hope I get it! At least I don't have to worry about my books too much, I only need to get them for one class now! What about the other classes? Well, bio we're using the same book as last time and my R.A. Nick is lending me his Human Geography book for the semester! Isn't that awesome! I sure think so, especially after I spent over $400 on books last semester! Anyways it looks like I might have to miss my 1st Tai Chi class tommorrow - no one seems to be able to find out where the heck it is! Just that it's off campus... and my teacher hasn't responded to the e-mail I sent her yet! Aaarrrggghhh! It's enough to start tearing your hair out... or start kicking something... or someone...

Convoluted Thoughts

Hey all!

I've had lots of different things on my mind of late, and I've decided to voice some of them here. Firstly, my point of view on things that are considered bad by conservatives (I.E. swearing, sex, and alternative lifestyles.) Basically, I don't care what anyone else does to themselves, just try to respect other people. I don't mind swearing or nudity or much else, but I do have a problem with people who try to force their ideas, lifestyles, etc. on other people (And that goes for both sides!) I consider myself pretty reserved compared to much of the "wierd" crowd, but am still to "out there" for many people's tastes. I don't like to swear, or say lude, crude, and rude comments to others, and I don't want anyone to try and force me too! Even though the peeps I hang with casually use that kind of language and I'm fine with it (I even enjoy listening to it sometimes.), I just am not much comfortable with saying it myself. I prefer being quiet and reserved. Oh I can get hyper and silly at times, but usually only with my close friends. I like to wear crazy and hot outfits that cause people to stare, but I don't like explaining myself to them.

I don't know, this post seems to be running around in circles from where I thought I was going to take it. Oh well, I guess I don't know what I'm actually trying to say except: I grew up a certain way, where certain things were considered impolite and improper, and while I don't agree with some it, it wasn't all bad. I am using my college time as a time to find out who I want to be. I want to experiment with new things and enjoy independent living. I don't want to completely rebel against everything I was raised against, I just only want to find my own identity. So people, don't try to force your opinions on me, let me form my own opinion of life. I really hate pushy people. Of course, I have to admit that sometimes I am one of them, so if you notice me being pushy, please, whack me across the head and point out my error!
